Essential Functions

60%     Work to ensure that each order is checked out quickly, efficiently and accurately in accordance with store policies and procedures

15%     Acknowledge, greet and thank each customer, exhibiting a positive energetic attitude while also communicating on going and upcoming special promotions and event to the customer

10%     Work with courtesy clerks to bag customer’s purchases and offer carryout service in accordance with store procedures

10%     Communicate with management and other associates in the Customer Care Department to resolve transaction mistakes, pricing issues and special customer concerns and needs

5%       Maintain a clean and organized work area

 

Secondary Functions

·         Assist in the replenishing of supplies (bags, cleaning supplies, etc) needed in the Customer Care Department

·         Assist with Customer Care Department merchandising tasks

·         Review and be familiar with ads, promotions, price updates and other store information that might help the customer

·         Assist with cleanup of spills, breakages and other maintenance duties as assigned

·         Provide assistance in other departments of the store when needed

·         Assist in periodic functions such as inventory, special promotions, etc.

·         Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while performing job functions

·         Participate in training activities to increase personal skill level, improve overall customer care and department performance

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to speak clearly
  • Must be able to do simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) quickly and accurately
  • The ability to discern when a customer is in need of some sort of assistance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours or more)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Requirements:

  • • Must maintain an acceptable checkup accuracy in accordance with J&J policies and procedures
  • • Must meet acceptable customer check out rate in accordance with J&J policies and procedures
  • • Must maintain an acceptable customer satisfaction level
