H.F. Lenz Co. (HFL), a leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in Johnstown, PA.

We are a full-service engineering, design and construction management firm headquartered in Johnstown, PA. Currently in our 80th year of operation, the H.F. Lenz Company offers a full range of engineering services for private and public buildings and facilities. Our high-profile projects span the nation, with the heaviest concentration in the Northeast.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for leading the technical design of plumbing and piping systems for various Government, Data-Center and Corporate office buildings and facilities. The candidate will work closely with our engineering team to turn our client's needs and ideas into reality. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with professional engineering staff, conduct field studies, perform fire protection design, load calculations, equipment selection, and interface with clients and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience is required;
  • 15+ years of Mechanical and Fire Protection engineering experience is required;
  • 2+ years of experience with Revit/3D modeling and MS Excel is required.
  • FE/EIT or NICET certification is preferred or interest in obtaining.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of construction, fire protection and plumbing codes and Specifications is preferred.
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients;
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Ability to coordinate between multiple trades & disciplines.
