H.F. Lenz Engineering (HFL), a nationally recognized consulting engineering, design, and construction management firm, is seeking CAD Drafters / Technicians to support the design of Electrical building systems in Johnstown, PA. These roles will focus on the Power and Lighting system design using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and other BIM360 applications for a diverse portfolio of construction ‎projects related to commercial office buildings and mission-critical facilities.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design of electrical, power, lighting and telecom systems for MEP projects.
  • Perform 2D and 3D drafting and design using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Perform set up of drawing models, diagrams and layouts.
  • Perform fundamental design tasks and coordinate with various engineering disciplines.
  • Collaborate with engineering team members in cross-functional setting to ensure that the design is accurate and that contract responsibilities are met according to client's expectations.
  • May travel occassionally to project sites for site observations and surveys.

  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.‎
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.‎
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Technical Degree in Engineering Technology, CADD or experience equivalent to education and training.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience in 2D/3D drafting and design or combined education and experience.
  • Experience with Electrical or MEP / building systems design is highly preferred.‎
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and MS Office software applications is required.‎
