H.F. Lenz Company is currently seeking an HVAC Project Manager / Supervisor to lead our mission critical, commercial and data-center engineering projects at our headquarters in Johnstown, PA.
We are a full-service engineering, design and construction management firm headquartered in Johnstown, PA. Currently in our 75th year of operation, the H.F. Lenz Company offers a full range of engineering services for private and public buildings and facilities. Our high-profile projects span the nation, with the heaviest concentration in the Northeast.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading construction projects related to mechanical engineering and design, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that work is completed to specifications and within budget.
- Perform construction management activities from contract award to project closeout, including RFI's, submittals, schedules, installation and final walk through.
- Conduct site visits, surveys/studies, reports and other analysis in support of HVAC design for mission critical and government facilities.
- Coordinate with engineering team members in cross-functional setting to ensure that the design is accurate and that contract responsibilities are met according to client's expectations, and maintain current quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
- A.A. Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience working with Construction / MEP Building Systems Design.
- Occassional travel to project sites is required.
- Top Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain security clearance is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lead HVAC building systems from design to construction administration.
- Ability to travel occassionally to conduct on-site visits and field surveys.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
