H.F. Lenz Co. (HFL), a leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Designer in our Conneaut, OH office. This role will be responsible for performing mechanical engineering and design focused on plumbing and piping systems for various Commercial buildings and facilities. The candidate will work closely with our team to turn our client's needs and our ideas into reality utilizing AutoCAD and Revit modeling. The candidate will also be responsible for performing load calculations and sizing equipment. This role also presents the opportunity to learn from professional engineering staff, conduct field studies & construction observation, and interface with clients and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;
- 0-5 years of plumbing / piping design experience is preferred or a combination of experience with education and training;
- EIT / FE certification or Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) is a plus;
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and MS Excel is required.
- Knowledge of construction, plumbing codes, ASPE, and Specifications is preferred.
- Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision;
- Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients;
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects;
- Ability to coordinate between multiple trades & disciplines.
