Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers in a prompt, courteous, accurate, and efficient manner, uses suggestive selling, and maintains high-quality customer interactions.
  • Mixes raw materials, follows recipes and maintains product consistency.
  • Rotates all bakery products on a first-in / first-out basis.
  • Follows regular cleaning schedule for equipment and cases.
  • Is familiar with the equipment and operates (if applicable) bread slicers, proofers, scales, fryers, mixers, and ovens.
  • Is familiar with weights and measures standards and the proper use of container and packaging materials.
  • Take cake orders; able to script cakes
  • Learn to proficiently decorate cakes
  • Completes price changes as requested.
  • Ability to operate a hydraulic baler, pallet jack, and trash compactor.
  • Performs freshness checks to ensure all products displayed are within the sell-by date.
  • Able to perform cleaning functions of both the bakery work area (facility) and all department equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company recipes
  • Assist with staffing the deli counter based on business demands.
  • Operate telephones and intercoms and practice proper telephone etiquette.
  • Follows all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.

  • Read and write.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds.
  • Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
  •  Reach and stock products up to 6 feet high.
  • Work in a cooler and freezer environment.
