Pharmacist
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Assist with the direction and monitoring of Pharmacy personnel and performance as directed
Prepare, compound, dispense, and sell prescriptions and Pharmacy-related products
Participate in patient assistance and quality assurance programs as directed
Follow proper pharmacy and regulatory safety procedures and standards
Submit appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement
Consult with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions
Providing patients and clients with counseling and education
Monitor storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals
Ensure that patients and clients are evaluated for appropriateness of therapy provided by the pharmacy.
Documenting and reporting medication errors to the PIC
Maintain records of all transactions of the pharmacy as necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Oversee prescription processing activities to maintain quality and standard of practice.
Participate in regular personnel meetings as necessary
Provide excellent customer service using best practices
Maintain inventory and stock levels consistent with the pharmacy goals and manufacturer protocols
Communicate promptly with customers, physicians, vendors, and colleagues
Understand confidentiality concerning patient/ client care; comply with all federal and state laws applicable to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and follow HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information
Administering immunizations
Updating vaccination schedules from the Center for Disease Control (CDC)
Properly securing and maintaining controlled substances
Operate the state prescription drug monitoring program
Properly disposing of hazardous waste drugs
Following recall protocol
Comply with the legal requirements for pseudoephedrine sales
Comply with Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) guidelines
Oversee the return-to-stock processing
Properly dispose of personal health information
Comply with Continuing Medical Education (CME) Fraud, Waste, and Abuse
Properly documenting requirements for Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
