KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods based on event menus.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served according to proper health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Work efficiently with other staff to meet timelines and ensure food is ready and served on time.
  • Work efficiently to minimize food waste.
  • Work closely with catering manager and event planner to provide excellent customer service.
  • Set up and tear down work areas before, during, and after events.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Assist with other duties as needed, such as plating and cleanup.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have proven experience as a cook, preferably in event catering or large-scale cooking.
  • Have strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understand and comply with all company, stateĀ and federal regulations governing health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Have excellent time management skills to work with a team and customers.
  • Be able to work a variety of shifts, including, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
