The Pharmacy Technician works with a pharmacist to help prepare and give out prescription medication.  They take prescriptions over the phone and in person, work with health professionals, and customers, help mix medicines, count pills, measure medication, label and give instructions for medicine and help take payments.  They should have great customer service skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.  Pharmacy technicians must adhere to strict safety and hygiene procedures and regulations in addition to maintaining patient privacy by observing HIPAA guidelines.
