A. Develop a viable marketing plan for the Produce Section, including the product mix which will sell best.
B. Evaluate on an ongoing basis the cost and profitability of the Product Mix. This will be achieved by ensuring for given "Gross Margin" and decreasing in a consistent manner Produce Section product related shrinkage.
C. Determine in compliance with the Company goals and objectives, competitive pricing strategies for each Produce product group.
D. Constantly monitor the competition, specifically; price, quality, sales methods, display space and any relevant information concerning the retail produce marketing environment.
E. Supervise, train and motivate Produce Section employees.
F. Ensure that all methods and procedures implemented within the Produce Section are consistent with local and state sanitary rules and regulations.
G. Constantly monitor the quality of the Produce products and service.
H. Resolve any customer complaints regarding quality and service of the Produce Section.
I. Maintain a clean, attractive, fresh and appealing Produce Section that encourages point of purchase shopping.
J. Monitor customer satisfaction and make any appropriate changes, with the approval of the Store Manager, to improve customer service.
K. Supervise the maintenance of the Produce Section's facilities, equipment, and spaces.
L. Cooperate with the other Department managers to promote attractiveness, cleanliness, and efficiency of the overall business.
M. Order and receive for produce and supplies necessary to meet customer demands, ensuring that the goals and objectives of the company are met.
N. Ensure that deliveries are prompt and on time consistent with customer satisfaction.
O. Complete special duties or assignments as requested by the Store Manager.
