We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team at The Market in the Square.

Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service at our Meat counter
- Cuts, trims, and prepares meat according to company standards and customer requests
- Safely operates meat-cutting equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the department
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience cutting meat is preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to safely operate equipment, including, but not limited to, knives, meat saws, vacuum sausage makers, scales, wrappers, grinders and slicers
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and labeling regulations, USDA regulations, and OSHA standards
- Knowledge and practice of cross-contamination prevention, proper food preparation and storage
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills in order to ensure excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day
- The ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible hours
Education and Work Experience:
- 5+ years meat cutting experience
