Meat Cutter
Greet guests and answer questions regarding goods or services sold
Maintain a well-organized and orderly meat department that aligns with the company's image and sanitation standards
Monitor store displays and keep all areas detailed and well-stocked
Alert managers as to items that have sold out, or need to be re-ordered
Assist customers by labeling items for purchase
Ensure the stockroom is organized and orderly
At least 18 years of age
Attention to detail is essential for maintaining and stocking meat displays to company standards
Prior customer service experience preferred
Basic math skills are needed to accurately weigh and calculate meat items
Ability to multitask and balance the needs of several customers at once is mandatory
A detailed understanding of products or services sold and the ability to correctly answer customer questions is needed
Ability to work as a team and contribute to a smoothly flowing experience for all customers
Friendly and approachable demeanor
Ability to spend an extended period working in a standing position
Punctuality and accountability when arriving at work
Cuts, trims, and prepares meat for sale to customers.
Receives and fulfills custom orders.
Packages and displays meat.
Labels meat to indicate cut, grade, preparation date, best-by date, and other relevant information.
Maintains the sharpness, cleanliness, and sterilization of knives and tools.
Ensures preparation areas are kept clean.
Closely follows all safety and sanitation procedures.
Answers questions regarding types, cuts, and suggested preparation of meats.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
