H.F. Lenz Company is seeking qualified candidates responsible for performing building system design and layout at our growing office in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will possess mechanical/HVAC building systems design experience with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Architectural Engineering or related program. Must be knowledgeable of AutoCAD and Revit software applications. This role involves all aspects of project including, client meetings, on-site surveys, calculations, cost estimates and design of HVAC, plumbing and fire-protection systems for high profile clients and projects related to commercial, healthcare and educational facilities.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the engineering design of mechanical and HVAC building systems.
Responsible for meeting all project specifications and formatting to company standards and following all project schedules and due dates.
Collaborate with cross-funtional project teams, including Designers, Engineers, Project Engineers and Principals in Charge to ensure that the design is accurate and that contract responsibilities are met.
Analyze drawings and recommend changes based on their experience and knowledge of the project.
Review and interpret client specifications, as well as help improve and maintain current quality assurance processes.
Conduct job site/field observations or inspections as necessary.
Travel to local project sites may be required; some overnight travel may be expected.
