REQUIREMENTS:

1.    Minimum educational requirement is a high school education with a college background helpful, but not required

2.    Able to speak, hear, read and write using the English language.

3.    Must be proficient in all mathematical requirements necessary to operate a successful grocery retail operation.

4.    Must be able to work required hours.

5.    Occasionally exert or lift up to 70 pounds.

6.    Frequently lift moderate amounts of weight.

7.    Willing to accept rotation assignments to other locations as determined by the needs of the Company.

8.    Desire and ability to become a Store Manager

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Observe and support all store rules and Company policies.

2.    Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe Company dress regulations.

3.    Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous.  Exceptional Service

4.    Work all hours as scheduled/required by management.

5.    Actively support the Store Manager in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing and controlling store activities and procedures.

6.    Familiarity with and the ability to perform all functions of the Store Manager's position

7.    Assist in employee scheduling and controlling labor costs to ensure that they are within budget relative to projected sales and operating results

8.    Assist in maintaining a fire and safety program within the store in accordance with Company policies

9.    Assist in employee training programs as needed.

10.  Assist in controlling inventory levels to minimize over-stocks and under-stocks, to maximize sales, inventory turns and a return-on-investment within the established Company guidelines.

11.  Assist in maintaining the building and equipment in maximum operational condition.

12.  Assist in the implementation of a housekeeping program that ensures a clean, safe store by following all Company and legal requirements.

13.  Maintain effective security standards and procedures for all areas within the store.

14.  Contribute to the profitable operation of the store

15.   Supervise all Perishable departments, and perform work as necessary to maintain proper store       conditions, including merchandising, product ordering, receiving, display and sanitation.

16.  Perform merchandising requirements, especially in grocery, dairy, frozen foods and non-foods

17.  Perform all tasks related to stocking, ordering, pricing, signing and sales throughout the store.

18.  Run register system as needed for customer service.

19.  Supervise and direct all employees in all areas of the store.

20.   In charge of total store operations in the absence of Store Manager.

21.  Complete and pass all aspects and courses designated for Manager-In-Training

22.  Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Store Manager.
