H.F. Lenz Company has an opportunity for an experienced Field Representative to support the mechanical/HVAC, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design and ‎field services in Johnstown PA. This role will perform field observation, construction ‎management and commissioning for building system projects in various market sectors and clients.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for construction management and coordination of field construction activities.

  • Coordinate efforts with project teams, engineering disciplines, architects, contractors and owners.

  • Perform shop drawing reviews, cost estimates, change orders and punch lists.

  • Ensure equipment is compatable with system design and installed in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.

  • Support on-going commissioning of MEP/FP systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering team members, contractors and owners to ensure that the design is accurate and that contract responsibilities are met according to client's expectations.

  • Conduct regular site visits, field surveys and reports as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5+ years experience in field construction observation, project management and/or building system design, including Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office software applications is required.
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites and gain physical access to normally inaccessible areas.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and other hazardous areas typical of a construction site.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective integration and coordination of field construction activities.
  • Drivers license is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
