This job is responsible for all cash and profits of the store, and for exemplary customer relations. Supervises and directs all store operations, including sub-department managers. The job requires a full understandi ng of all store operations, including Meat, Produce, Bakery/Deli and Grocery Departments.  The job performs such tasks as interviewing and hiring employees, establishing work schedules and managing employees'  concerns, and is responsible for bookkeeping and all required daily deposits.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In addition to the essential functions, the following requirements must be met: Education: High school diploma or equivalent • Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently • Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.


  • Must have previous work experience as an Assistant Store Manager. Must include two or three professional references. For example, store manager, district manager or previous employers. Must pass required background check.
