Industrial Maintenance Technician

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Technician utilizing his/her general knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, plumbing, pneumatics, etc. repairs, maintains and installs production machinery and equipment, and repairs and maintains facilities including associated support systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Diagnoses machine malfunctions and determines the method to resolve the problem. 2. Maintains and repairs production equipment and machinery including hoists, cranes, forklifts, etc.. 3. Installs new equipment and machinery, which may include utility service. 4. As appropriate, rebuilds production machinery including disassembly and reinstallation. 5. Performs regularly scheduled and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:: 1. Significant experience in diagnosis and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. 2. Electrical knowledge including three phase systems. 3. Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives. 4. Ability to read and understand mechanical blue prints and schematics 5. Hydraulic or pneumatic systems and component troubleshooting skills. 6. Arc, MIG, and TIG experience preferred. 7. Robotic troubleshooting manufacturing equipment preferred. 8. A quality directed work attitude.

CNC Machinist

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plans numerical control program to control contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools. Analyzes drawings, sketches and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates. Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths. Encode and directs numerical control database to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.

Quality Manager

The Manager, Quality Assurance has the responsibility for the development and implementation of a Quality Assurance (QA) program for NorthStar Battery. The primary goals of this program are the improvement of quality and productivity, as well as, the reduction of costs. The QA Manager is the leader of the Quality Assurance/Inspection group and has responsibility for providing overall direction for Quality and ISO programs. The QA Manager will develop and oversee training programs for quality. Major focus and attention will be directed to statistical evaluation as applied to job shop type environments, measurements and classroom training of employees.
