  • Observe all store rules and company policies
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
  • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous Exceptional Service.
  • Observe shift operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.
  • Follow approved procedures for receiving, weighing, and breaking down meat products.
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining  inventory control
  • Assist in controlling department expenses.
  • Carry out merchandising plans for department outlined by management.
  • Assist in planned program of maintenance on cases, coolers, freezers.
  • Price and display product in cases as directed by management.
  • Assist in wrapping and labeling product as required.
  • Assist in checking and verifying meat department deliveries when required.
  • Take products to refrigerated storage and freezers, shelf and display areas.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Observe security standards by staying alert and being aware of customer actions and behavior; report to management any irregularities.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and health regulations.
  •  Use and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Able to read and write.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Be fully knowledgeable and familiar with all cuts and types of meat products.
  • Able to exert or lift up to 150 pounds.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • 3 years retail supermarket meat cutter, journeyman level meat cutter
