Major duties:

  • Waits on customers in a prompt, courteous, accurate, and efficient manner, uses suggestive selling, and maintains high quality customer relations.
  • Mixes raw materials, follows recipes, and maintains product consistency.
  • Rotates all bakery products on a first in / first out basis.
  • Follows regular cleaning schedule for equipment and cases.
  • Is totally familiar with equipment and operates (if applicable) bread slicers, proofers, scales, fryers, mixers, and ovens.
  • Is totally familiar with weights and measures standards and the proper use of container and packaging materials.
  • Take cake orders; able to script cakes
  • Learn to proficiently decorate cakes

Minor duties:

  • Does price changes as requested.
  • Operate hydraulic baler, pallet jack, and trash compactor.
  • Performs freshness checks.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, and cleaning functions.
  • Keep company recipes confidential.
  • When necessary, waits on deli customers.
  • Operate telephones and intercoms and practice proper telephone etiquette.
  • Follows all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Read and write.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds.
  • Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
  • Reach and stock product up to 6 feet high.
  • Work in cooler/freezer environment.
