Provides a high level of prompt and friendly and professional customer service

Maintains a positive work environment with fellow employees throughout the store

Cashes out customers accurately with variety of tenders including cash, credit/debit payments, WIC, EFS, EBT, checks, and gift cards. In doing so, all NYS and store policies are followed for fraud prevention. 

Provides attentive care to customers at the service desk through lottery, money order, postage stamps, and bill payment transactions. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail, with proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
  • Experience in a lead role in a grocery store setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to operate front end equipment including computers, cash registers, and self scan register equipment.
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability.

Requirements:

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and/or climbing throughout the entire workday
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible store assignments and hours
  • Maintains excellent communication with managers, staff and owners
  • Reliable and dependable; able to work flexible schedule
  • A willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Previous experience in a supervisor role.
