As the Head Cashier, you will be responsible for directly overseeing cashiers, ensuring the check-out process runs smoothly, and assisting the Office Manager in managing front-end operations. This includes your assistance in managing the customer service area, preparing and storing reports, managing financial information and transactions, including bookkeeping, and overseeing the store's Human Resources, particularly the processing of new hires. You will address any complaints or requests from store associates and customers and ensure that all registers have the correct amount of cash at all times. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a positive work environment for all cashiers, providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all checkout functions are performed accurately and efficiently, closing the store for the night, occasionally opening up the store in the morning, and assuming the duties of the Office Manager in their absence.

As a Receiving Clerk, your main responsibility will be to receive and verify store merchandise, ensuring that the inventory received matches the orders and invoices, including the quantities, prices, and associated costs. You will also be responsible for operating the computer system for merchandise reception, processing returns to vendors and merchandisers, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of the backdoor, backroom, and receiving area. In addition, you will need to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other associates, and work effectively with others as part of a team. Your role will require you to be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy boxes, as well as protecting the store's assets, enforcing the store's loss prevention practices, and encouraging other associates to deliver excellent customer service.
